Amazing Faith
To encourage a great start into the New Year, Evangel will begin a new message series on January 2, entitled, Amazing Faith. Life is more like a marathon than a sprint. This means we need to prepare accordingly so we don’t quit too soon. What’s most important in the marathon of Christian living? Faith! Over the course of six weeks, we are going to study the things that cause our faith to grow. The Bible records on two occasions when Jesus was “amazed.” Both are in regards to faith. If you’d like to be among those whose faith amazes God, you’ll want to to pay close attention to the six tings that cause our faith to grow and become amazing.
Financial Peace University

Financial Peace University is highly entertaining for everyone, with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice, and Biblical messages. You will learn how to eliminate debt and save money and will learn about cash flow planning, investing, real estate planning, giving, and more!
There will be a free preview session on Sunday, January 9, at 12:45 pm in the library. The full class begins the week of January 16.

When Dilemmas Turn To Dreams
New Year’s Eve Service
New Year’s Eve is a special time of remembering what God has done for us through Christ, while counting our blessings and reaching out in faith for a blessed new year.
We invite you to take part in our New Year’s Eve Communion Service on Friday, December 31, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. The pastors will serve communion and pray a blessing for the New Year with families, individuals, or small groups. You may come and go anytime during the service.
God with Us
In a couple of weeks, we celebrate history’s most important event ever – the arrival of God to earth. The combination of Jesus’ birth and resurrection mark the twin foundations of all that makes sense in the world. Without the birth of Jesus, we are left wondering if God really knows what our lives are all about. Without the resurrection, we are left to question whether or not God has the power to transform our pain into something meaningful.
This month’s Christmas message series, God with Us, has been developed for the specific purpose of declaring the life-transforming message of the birth of Jesus Christ. From an inside look into Mary’s worry-filled response, Joseph’s dilemma and disappointment, and the shepherds’ unlikely invitation to the manger scene, we will hear, see, and feel the profound realities of what “God with us” truly means.
