what are connect groups?
At their core, Connect Groups are less about what you do and more about who you do them with. We all need each other, and groups provide a place for people to find freedom in Christ and build community. Whether you’re new to groups, leading for the first time, or a seasoned leader, we have a group for you!

spring season runs from February 4 - May 5, 2024. groups with openings are available for registration now!
Connect Groups are organized around a seasonal schedule consisting of three trimesters. The fall and spring trimesters are both 13 weeks, and the summer trimester is slightly abbreviated at 8 weeks.

From the leader: We will be reading and discussing The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. This classic theological work from 1937 focuses on what it means to follow Christ--especially as it relates to Christ's teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. It is written by a German pastor during the rise of Nazi Germany and their corruption of the church.
It is a book that will challenge you, convict you, inspire you, and in the end make you want to take the teachings of Christ even more seriously than you already do.
This book is a theological book so it could be challenging for some. However, I will be able to help guide us through this work so don't be intimidated.

From the leader: In July 2020, I attended a retreat in Alys Beach by Never Alone Widows and it was the pivotal moment in my journey where I decided to live and not just exist. I learned that losing Adam and becoming a widow at age 34 with 2 small children was and will be such a big part of our story but not our identity. I met 35 other women that weekend who were also on this journey and still are an active part of my healing and together we walk on this journey of finding beauty in the pain. Never Alone Widows is a ministry aimed at providing healing, comfort and community for Christian widows who know the pain of untimely death. Earlier this year, Never Alone started launching groups across the US to reach a larger population of widows of all ages and stages.
There is a private Facebook group where all events will be posted available to join (Never Alone Widows Locals-Bismarck, ND) and there is also an instagram page that can be followed at @neveralonewidows_bismarck .
