what is ekids?
eKids is for kids from newborn – 5th grade, where they will learn about Jesus on their level. Our mission is to build kids into fully devoted followers of Christ by instilling unshakable faith inside their hearts and in their homes. To do this, we partner with parents to help their kids grow to know and love Jesus.

your first visit
We want you and your family to have an excellent experience in eKids! When you arrive at an Evangel campus, head to the “New to eKids” Welcome Desk. When you get there, one of our eKids Dream Team members will ask a few questions about your family in order to help us serve you well. They’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, birthdate, how many children are in your family, and how to contact you. Both you and your child will then get a sticker with a matching code unique to only your family. You’ll need this sticker to check-in and check-out your child to help ensure the safety of all children in eKids.
child dedication
"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6 NIV
Child Dedication is for parents to present their child before God and the church, agreeing to seek after His grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. It's a commitment to raise your child to understand that they are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe that the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of a community of faith through the local church.
Individual Child Dedications: Dedication for individual families is available on Sundays. Please fill out the registration form specific to the campus where you are dedicating your child.

ekids faq
eKids has Connect Groups that take place for elementary-aged kids throughout the school year. These Connect Groups are organized by grade, gender, and activities. They also follow a curriculum called TRANSFORM where kids learn how to be a disciple of Jesus. Kids who want to participate need to pre-register.
Behind our secured doors are background-checked, trained leaders and parents who are ready to give your kids Jesus on their level. Outside of the secured doors, Safety Team members are monitoring the hallways, exits, security cameras, and traffic. To check your child out of the secure eKids area, you are required to have the security tag with a random three-digit code matching your child’s name tag.
Find an eKids Welcome Team member or a Safety Team member, show them your security tag, and they can let you into the secured area. If your child needs you during service, we will send a text to your cell phone.
At eKids, we truly believe in giving your children Jesus on their level. In order to do this, we partner with parents like you to help your kids grow to know and love Jesus. We love that you want to serve! To serve on the eKids Dream Team, please attend Discover to learn more about serving opportunities at Evangel and at eKids.
We are so excited for your child’s decision to follow Jesus! We want to help equip your child with a “Now What?” booklet, their very own Bible, and information about their next step–water baptism. Find us at the eKids New Here booth to grab these resources.
We believe that a person should be baptized after they make a personal decision to follow Jesus. We want kids to understand the decision they are making, to take the decision seriously, and to make it on their own, so we recommend that they be at least six years old.
If you want to build a strong house, you need a good foundation. The same goes in building your kids up to be passionate followers of Jesus. That's why we created Foundations! Foundations is an interactive, at-home, educational course that will walk you and your child through salvation, water baptism, and other faith milestones!
Evangel believes baptism is for those who have made a personal decision to trust Jesus alone for their salvation, once they have the maturity and ability to understand what that means. Dedication is not a sacrament; nor does it impart grace or salvation to a child. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ as each person recognizes their sinfulness and receives forgiveness and eternal life through him and his work on the cross. Rather than baptizing infants or small children, we encourage a dedication ceremony, where parents formally call upon God's blessing for their child and publicly commit to raise him or her in accordance with Scripture.
Child Dedication is a small, intimate service lasting no longer than 20 minutes. During the ceremony, parent(s) publicly commit to help their child grow in their faith and to raise them in a home centered on Jesus. Our team welcomes the family, gives the heart behind child dedication, asks the parents to acknowledge their desire to raise their children up in accordance with scripture and teaching them about knowing Jesus, and prays over the child. Family and friends are a welcome part of this moment and we encourage those dedicating their children to invite others to join in this moment.
You do not need to be a member of Evangel to dedicate your child. We do ask that families call Evangel their home, because in dedicating your child to God, you are stating that you are willing to partner with God and the Church to raise your child in cooperation with God's intentions. As your church family, we are here to partner with you as the body of Christ and support you as a family unit.
