At Evangel, we want to build your kids into fully-devoted followed of Christ by instilling unshakable faith inside their hearts and into their homes. If you want to build a strong house, you need a good foundation. The same goes in building your kids up to be passionate followers of Jesus. Salvation is the most important decision anyone can make. We want you and your whole family to know why!

Here are a few questions to start a discussion about salvation with you and your child.
Be sure to take your time and not rush through these.

Have you ever made a mistake and needed to ask forgiveness?
Jesus is the only way to heaven. Have you ever thought you could get to heaven another way?
What kind of feelings do you have when you thinkg about or picture Jesus dying for you?
God sent Jesus to rescue us because he loves us. How's it make you feel to know the creator of the universe loves you?
Have you ever prayed to ask God for salvation?
If you haven't, would you like to today?

Grab a journal or the printable SOAP outline and SOAP together as a family

SOAP stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer.

First, read the scripture. Next, talk about what you observed from it. Then, ask how you can apply it to your life. Lastly, pray as a family out of the truth you just read together.

Read: John 3:1-36

At Evangel, we are family focused! Think about spending some time together doing a fun activity. Here's a few options we thought of that can relate to salvation:

1. Play a game of Sorry
We know that when we ask for salvation, we're asking for forgiveness from God. He gives it to us when we ask. Play the board game Sorry together as a family!

2. Play a game of Hide and Seek
Without Jesus, it's like we are lost. But Jesus is seeking for us. As a family, play a game of Hide and Seek!
